PM Modi Champions Climate Financing at COP-28, Securing Support for Developing Nations
DUBAI– Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Dubai to take part in 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference.
According to the sources, a historic decision was made as almost 200 nations came together to establish a fund dedicated to supporting countries grappling with the impacts of global warming.
Having arrived in Dubai the previous night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi played a pivotal role, advocating for climate financing and technology transfer to empower developing nations in effectively addressing the challenges presented by climate change.
Expressing his anticipation for the COP-28 Summit, PM Modi shared on social media, “Landed in Dubai to take part in the COP-28 Summit. Looking forward to the proceedings of the Summit, which are aimed at creating a better planet.” He also expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from the Indian community in Dubai, citing their support and enthusiasm as a testament to the vibrant culture and strong bonds.
PM Modi is slated to participate in today’s World Climate Action Summit, a crucial component of the UN’s Conference of the Parties (COP28) on climate change, emphasizing the high-level discussions and initiatives aimed at addressing climate challenges on a global scale.
